Skull And Bones Leak Suggests Ubisoft Has Locked In A New Launch Date Of February 16

Insider sources revealed that Ubisoft has locked down a new launch date for Skull and Bones after the French publisher postponed its launch again last month. It’s reportedly now narrowed down the release date to February 16th, in what will hopefully be the final time that the studio announces a launch date for the long-delayed pirate MMO.

Skull and Bones’ development has been frustrating to say the least. It had come close to launching multiple times since it was first unveiled at E3 way back in 2017 and was originally scheduled to launch in 2018. It’s now been delayed a total of seven times.

It’s best to take the leak with a grain of salt though, not because the sources can’t be trusted but because Ubisoft can easily yank the proverbial carrot away just as it comes within reach. Those same sources also revealed that Ubisoft is planning to bolster its pre-order lineup with a premium edition that will include a three-day head start.

We’re expecting the official announcement to drop during this year’s The Game Awards. We’ll keep an ear out for new information until then.
