Ubisoft is expanding the PvP experience in Skull and Bones by allowing players to engage in naval battles anywhere on the high seas. When Update 1.3 drops next week, players will have the option to flag themselves for open-world PvP regardless of where they are on the open-world map.

“Just turn your flags on and just go there and duke it out,” Ubisoft said. “If people just want to skirmish, just do it. […] You’ll be able to fight anyone who’s willing, anywhere, at any time.”

If PvE is more to your liking, you can also help raise money for ocean conservation organization Oceana through the game’s Waves of Change campaign which will run from March 18 to March 31. All you have to do is defeat in-game enemies, like Headhunters, Skirmishers, and Season 1’s main boss, the toxic pirate lord Philippe La Peste, and Ubisoft will do the rest. You’ll get to take out a bunch of baddies in the game and help clean up the oceans of the real world at the same time. It’s a win-win.
