It’s been a month since Ubisoft announced that it was delaying Skull and Bones for the sixth time since it was first announced at E3 2017. The dev team has reportedly made good use of the extra time to improve and polish the long-delayed pirate MMORPG, as revealed by Ubisoft CFO Frederick Duguet during the company’s latest quarterly investor call.

“We said in January, we’ve been very happy with the playtest that we’ve seen in early January, so we have a very strong improved version to show to players that they haven’t seen yet. So this is really what we are going to leverage in the next month to drive more momentum on the game,” said the CFO.

Duguet, however, didn’t go into detail about how the game has supposedly improved. While he may just be trying to appease investors over the long delay, it’s still something to look forward to for when the game finally launches. His statement also hints at the possibility of the promised public playtests beginning next month. Just don’t get your hopes up too much.
