Square Enix Denies Acquisition Rumors Spreading Through The Internet

Rumors that Square Enix was being bought out spread like wildfire across the internet a few days ago following a Bloomberg report that several firms were looking to acquire the Japanese company. The rumors have turned out to be untrue as Square Enix confirmed in their official statement regarding the matter.

According to GamesIndustry.biz, Square Enix denied any announcement of the sort being made and assured the community that they haven’t received any offers to acquire the company or any of its subsidiaries, nor are they planning or even considering to sell the firm or any part of their business.

You can now rest easy knowing that Final Fantasy XIV, Marvel’s Avengers, Outriders, and the rest of Square Enix’ portfolio of games will not be changing hands anytime soon.
