Square-Enix Rocks 2015 Fiscal Year
2015 was a good year for Square-Enix according to their recently released financial report. The popular publishing company's net sales were up by 28.5%, while profits increased by 24% compared to 2014, resulting in total earnings of 13.5 billion yen ($115.7million) at the end of the year.
The company’s triumphant year is attributed to the success of multiple franchises including Dragon Quest X and two-time strong performer – Final Fantasy XIV. Other big contributors were Just Cause 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
In addition, the report forecasts yet another good year for Square-Enix with net sales of 200 – 220 billion yen ($1.7 - $1.9 million) and profits of 11 -18 billion yen ($94 - $153 million) for the end of this financial year.
