Kai-ri-Sei Million Arthur VR: What A Virtual Reality Card Game Looks Like

Square Enix has unveiled a new trailer for its virtual reality card game RPG titled Kai-ri-Sei Million Arthur VR, set to release for HTC Vive this Spring. Developed by GREE VR Studio, the game puts you on the ground of fantasy battles in an anime-stylized universe. It's based on a card game of the same name, and will employ a similar card-based battling system.

What's not clear is if Million Arthur VR will be available internationally or only exclusive to Japan. From the trailer it's clear it will release on Steam, but will it be region locked? Does Japan have a large enough VR adoption on its own that the game can make money staying on the island? I doubt it.

I hope to see Million Arthur VR release in my neighborhood. The concept is interesting enough, and the first of its kind for VR—as far as I'm aware. My Oculus needs a new game so I can clear the dust off.
