Star Citizen Receives $1.2 Million In Funding Presumably From Carrack Ship Sales This Weekend
Last weekend’s CitizenCon 2019 opening revolved around the host of new features coming to Star Citizen when Patch 3.8 rolls out later this month. This includes the highly-awaited Carrack Exploration Craft.
During the opening presentation, Cloud Imperium Games announced that they will be delaying the Carrack’s launch to February next year. Unsurprisingly, the announcement was met with anger and disappointment from the community but that didn’t stop them from opening their wallets to pre-purchase the $500 expedition craft.
Following the presentation, the studio has received a whopping $1.2 million dollars in funding over the weekend. Presumably, the spike in funding came from the combined sales of the Carrack and the cheaper $55 Pisces Explorer Shuttle.
