Star Citizen: The Ambition Rises With Star Marine

Star Citizen has released an update on its up and coming FPS module, Star Marine.   The Star Marine game is explained within the update to be a flawless transition between ship combats and to be an integral part of the Squadron 42 campaign.  As Chris Roberts explains:  "That’s why we kicked off Star Citizen as a ‘First Person Universe’ right from the start, and it’s why we picked an FPS engine to build on."  The FPS module not only add its own gameplay, but will add to the games sense of immersion by adding seamless movement from the ship to other parts of the game.

The update also has a bit on the character models, showing off different types of armor throughout three different armor classes.  I can only hope that they will eventually add a female model as well.

One could only wonder if the game will really be able to deliver on everything it intends to.   If it's able to pull it off, the game could truly be the most immersive game ever made.

Is the game too ambitious?  Hopefully we'll find out soon.  You can check out the full details on the update here.
