Nexon’s game show-inspired free-to-play shooter, The Finals, is getting ready to start its second season next week, featuring a new map, class-specific weapons, playstyle, game mode, competitive content, and a test version of private matches.

Season 2 will introduce the new hacker-themed SYS$HORIZON map, a nighttime cityscape that makes for the perfect parkour playground, as well as a new, casual, 5v5 mode called Power Shift where two teams will compete to escort a moving platform through the arena.

“If interrupted by an enemy team, the platform grinds to a halt — or will switch direction entirely,” Nexon explains. “Watch out, the platform will tear through anything in its path and can be rocked by physics. Players can switch their contestants between respawns, allowing them to balance their teams on the fly and hone their skills to perfection.”

Players will also gain access to the Hacker playstyle that will allow them to transform the arena to their advantage. That includes the ability to remove walls, transform items, tunnel through the arena, and defy gravity. The playstyle also offers up a new set of gadgets as well as a new specialization that players will be able to integrate with their existing loadouts and builds.

Season 2 officially begins on March 14.
