There Are Three New Overwatch Maps In Development

In a recent forum post, an Overwatch player expressed concern over the current cycle of map releases. Since launch last year, only two new maps have been released, which caused the player in question to ask whether it was enough.

In response to this concern, Game Director Jeff Kaplan responded, stating that there were three new "standard" maps in development that would one day be introduced to Quick Play and Competitive Play, as well as three "non-standard" maps that would not, perhaps implying future Brawl maps.

According to Kaplan, all three "standard" maps are expected to go live sometime this year. He did not, however, specify a release window for any of them.
