The new post on the game’s Steam page, explains how the game will transition from Early Access to full release, starting with a full server wipe on October 6th.

“Everything will be completely wiped. Everyone in Early Access will be starting again from scratch on October 6th. [. . .] Yup. Early Access players will get the 1.0 version one week before everyone else. You will be the guides and mentors for those who join the community at Launch.”

The developers will also be running a one-day stress test after the wipe and update on October 6th. Players who login during the stress test will receive an exclusive Netstrike Banner fort decoration for their trouble.

According to the devs, the full release version will come with a single-player mode for those who want to play by themselves. The single-player mode won’t require an internet connection and will even allow players to play an outdated version if they’re not connected to the internet when a new build comes out. Progress in the single-player mode and the multiplayer mode are also entirely separate and will not affect each other in any way.

Torchlight 3 officially launches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 13th with a $39.99 price tag. The Nintendo Switch will come out at a later date.
