It Turns Out That Rebellious Million Arthur Is A Mobile MMORPG

Back in March, NetEase and Square Enix announced the joint development of a new mobile entry in the Million Arthur series, which loosely translates to "Rebellious Million Arthur." The game would be the third in the series of card-based mobile RPGs, but other than that, not much was announced at first.

Yesterday, NetEase unveiled that the game will have a 3D setting for players to run around in in third-person and that they will also be able to free adjust their camera angle. The game has a rather nice anime art style, similar to that of X-Legend's more recent MMORPGs, but even more refined. You can find some GIFs of the main town embedded below.

This, unsurprisingly, lead to speculation that the game is an MMORPG. Other screenshots showed off environments outside of the main town, indicating that the entire world may be explored in 3D.

Fortunately, however, we don't have to speculate. According to MMOCulture, NetEase ran a "very limited technical test" earlier this week and, again unsurprisingly, details from the test were leaked. It is, in fact, an MMORPG. The game will utilize a stamina system, with dungeons requiring stamina to enter. There will be several characters, both male and female, that can each equip up to eight pieces of gear, including weapons, chestpieces, leg armor, shoes, and accessories.

It's not surprising that Rebellious Million Arthur turned out to be a mobile MMORPG. NetEase has released a number of mobile MMORPGs in recent times, including but not limited to Demon Seals Mobile and Land of Glory, which is known as Crusaders of Light in the West. The company has also created more typical mobile RPGs like Onmyoji, but it is creating far more mobile MMORPGs than anything at present, which is evident by the fact that it has taken the Terminator 2: Judgment Day license and turned it into a mobile MMO shooter.
