V Rising Vampire MMORPG Officially Launches Into Steam Early Access

After over a month in closed beta testing, vampire survival MMORPG, V Rising, has officially launched into Steam Early Access. The game drops players into the shoes of a newly-awakened vampire in a medieval world ruled and inhabited by humans and other vampires. They’ll need to feed on the blood of humans and hide from the scorching sun to survive while raising their very own gothic castle and facing off against other vampires.

“Awaken as a weakened vampire after centuries of slumber. Hunt for blood to regain your strength while hiding from the scorching sun to survive. Rebuild your castle and convert humans into your loyal servants in a quest to raise your vampire empire. Make allies or enemies online or play solo offline, fend off holy soldiers, and wage war in a world of conflict. Will you become the next Dracula?”

V Rising is now available on Steam for $19.99 and is expected to stay in early access for about a year before its full release.

“The Early Access version contains a vast world with a wealth of content and all the core mechanics in place,” said developer Stunlock Studios. “The team worked hard to ensure we deliver a great experience and robust build from day one. Although a substantial part of the content has already been developed and implemented, there is still work left to reach the high-quality bar we set for our games.”
