While Blizzard Entertainment has yet to announce an exact launch date for World of Warcraft Dragonflight, it’s confirmed that we won’t be waiting until next year to see the expansion. Dragonflight will officially be launching later this year, and I quote: “on or before December 31, 2022.”

Pre-orders for Dragonflight are now available for now available on the official site, priced at $49.99 for the Base Edition, $69.99 for the Heroic Edition, and $89.99 for the Epic Edition. All tiers will come with the exclusive Drakks Pet and access to the new Drachtyr Evoker race-class combination at or before launch. The Heroic Edition will also come with character boosts, a flying mount, another pet while the Epic Edition will come with an additional Hearthstone effect, transmogs, and 30 days of game time.

The Dragonflight expansion will open up the new Dragon Isles region with four new zones to explore: the Waking Shores, Ohn’ahran Plains, Azure Span, and Thaldraszus. Players will also get to ride atop customizable Drakes and will get access to the new Drachtyr allied race and its dedicated Evoker class that mixes the abilities of dragonflight with ranged damage and healing. Also headlining the update is the overhauled Talent system which offers more flexible build choices.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic will also be launching later this year so that’s two big things coming to World of Warcraft this year.
