World Of Warships Gets New German And Soviet Ships In Time For Rise Of The Phantom Fortress

After having been previously announced late last month, the Soviet Tech Tree is now available for use. The Izyaslav, Gnevny, and Tashkent headline the new tree. The Soviet ships are intended to be the "sharpshooters of the sea." They have an unyielding combination of good accuracy and high firepower. Their destroyers are said to be fast, as well as featuring "strong anti-aircraft armaments and rapid turret rotation."

Also previously announced, German Cruisers were added with this update. The Dresden and Hermelin headline the new line of German ships. They are said to be "swift vessels capable of running rings around opponents." As players make it further into the German Tech Tree, they are said to boast great endurance, solid armor, and powerful guns.

These ships have arrived just in time for the Rise of the Phantom Fortress Halloween event. Starting tomorrow, two "brand new, haunted ships" will appear in battles, the Phantom Fortress and the Salem Witch. They are Halloween-themed versions of the USS Hornet and USS Salem, respectively. They will appear only in random PvP matches and the team that has one of these vessels will have a smaller number of players. Defeating them in battle will reward the player with "special in-game prizes."
