Bossa Studios, the developer behind the now-defunct Worlds Adrift MMO, has announced several new multiplayer titles: Darkseers, Project Meru, and Room of Doom.

Darkseers is an eight-player horror survival game set in a Lovecraftian universe inhabited by dangerous monsters and spirits with unknown intentions.

“They arrived and the world drowned in silence. The otherworldly beasts tore apart the bodies of the living, but their spirits remained. Team up with up to 8 other survivors and strike out into the desolation, visiting a world of hushed theme parks, stilled cities, and barren farms. Choose the risk to your reward carefully, as the monsters will wait for you at the end of each hunt, and the spirits of the departed might help or hinder you.”

Project Meru, on the other hand, is a multiplayer survival game with features and elements typical to the survival genre, including crafting, building, and co-op play set in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi fantasy world.

“In Project Meru you take on the role of one of the last surviving humans. Your ancestors were driven into hiding by an incursion from the mysterious Giants, who brought with them a host of terrible war machines. A chance encounter leads you to uncover the Hephaestus Engine: a long-forgotten artifact which is capable of understanding and rebuilding these machines to work for you. Now, alongside a group of friends, you set out to reclaim the home of your ancestors - the Lands Below.”

Last on the list is Room of Doom, an eight-player “lab-raiding party game” with a neon-macabre theme.

“Among the chaos of portals and otherworldly beings, you are tasked with competing against fellow mercenaries for lucrative ‘recovery’ contracts. Each contract has up to 8 friends or foes battling for the spoils, looting their way through the weird rooms of an extensive science lab at the confluence of time and space. Recover experiments, gather artefacts, and hoard treasures as reward for surviving levels rife with danger and dynamic puzzles.”

Keep in mind that these titles are still early concepts or prototypes that may or may not reach full development. We’ll keep you posted.
