World of Warcraft Classic players can once again embark on the journey to Northrend and the Icecrown Citadel as Wrath of the Lich King officially relaunches on the re-run servers. Players can now relive their memories from the long-running MMORPG’s most iconic expansion like it’s November 2008 all over again, except for a few changes.

One of the major changes in Wrath of the Lich King Classic is that it won’t have a dungeon finder, a feature that was added later in the expansion. Another big change from the expansion’s original release is that Wintergrasp is now a 120v120 cross-server battleground instead of simply being an open world PvP zone. Blizzard has also made it easier for players to queue up for battlegrounds matches by allowing them to queue from wherever they are in the game world instead of having to visit their respective battlegrounds NPCs.

Quest tracking also been added despite Blizzard’s earlier qualms about adding the feature. Heroic+ dungeons will also be added alongside Ulduar’s release in Phase 2 of the expansion and raid loot will be shuffled around to give players easier access to 25-man raid drops.

As you can probably expect from a release this big, the servers are now swamped with players looking to get in. Some players have reported up to 12-hour-long queues, lag spikes, disconnects, and a myriad of other server-related problems caused by what looks to be every World of Warcraft player and then some descending on the already-strained servers, exactly like what happened back in 2008. If you’re looking for a big hit of nostalgia, Blizzard has definitely got you covered in that regard.
