If you’ve yet to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate because you’re not really sure if the $14.99 subscription fee is worth it, then Microsoft’s latest offer might just be what you’re waiting for. In line with tomorrow’s Cyber Monday digital shopping extravaganza, players can now subscribe to the premium video game streaming service for just $1 for the first month.
The promotion is open to all new subscriptions and will include instant access to over 300 games that’s included in the PC and Xbox Game Pass as well as EA Play and Xbox Cloud Gaming. After the first 30-day period the recurring charge will revert back to the original pricing.
The Xbox Cloud Gaming feature in particular is what makes the deal so enticing. Access to the service will allow you to jump on virtually any device, including Steam Deck, and play your favorite games in minutes without the need to download hundreds of gigabytes of data. Game streaming, however, is limited to 1080p resolution just to set your expectations ahead of time. If you can’t find a game to play from the hundreds of titles offered on Xbox Game Pass, you can also choose from the thousands of titles included in EA Play for no additional charge, although you’ll actually need to download those to your device to play them.
