Zenith’s Skyward Summit update last week hit a big bump in the road when the team failed to roll out the update on the PSVR 2 on time. After roughly a days’ delay though, they ultimately managed to get the update out on the VR platform.

Meanwhile, Ramen VR took the opportunity to pen a letter to the community outlining their plans for the VR MMORPG now that Version 1.3 is live.

In the letter, the team revealed a major change to their development strategy as they divide their focus between adding new content, fixing bugs, and making the game more stable. They also revealed plans to revamp existing content to make it less repetitive, more social, and a lot more fun. Accessibility was also highlighted as a significant concern for the team, as well as their update cadence.

“Going forward, you can expect faster updates for bugs as well as content additions much more regularly,” said Ramen VR. “In fact – 1.3.1 is in production now and will unlock a new zone – we’re planning to ship that sometime in June. While it’ll take some time we’d like to eventually get to a point where we’re content shipping updates every 2-3 weeks.”

“With faster release processes, tooling, and focus you’ll start to see new content updates start to ramp up overtime at a faster pace and continuous improvement of bugs and features in a way that you haven’t in the past,” the team promised.

Despite the studio's ambitious plans for the future of Zenith, the dev letter was conspicuously silent about the still-unavailable non-VR desktop version of the game that was promised during its Kickstarter campaign. There’s plenty of new content for VR users to enjoy though, including the new Skyland floating zone and the Cyber Ninja class.
