Final Fantasy Record Keeper Overview

Final Fantasy Record Keeper is a free-to-play 2D mobile RPG by DeNA Corp. Take on the role of a Record Keeper and restore paintings chronicling the history of Final Fantasy. It's no secret Final Fantasy Record Keeper is a hero collector and with over 150 unique heroes from nearly every Final Fantasy title released it's one of the better ones on the market. The game borrows its combat from FFVII, using the iconic Active-Time-Battle or 'ATB', each character can attack every few seconds rather than all moves being made turn by turn. This combat system is also present in the games multiplayer, where up to 4 players each bring 2 heroes each and play out epic boss fights in real time.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper is developed by DeNA Corp and published by Square Enix. The games characters are all 2D-Sprites and mostly direct ports from the 2D games or copied from the 2013 mobile title Final Fantasy All The Bravest, with newer characters in the franchise having brand new sprites. The bosses and enemies sprites however are all unique to Final Fantasy record keeper and share a consistent high-quality style. As is usual for mobile titles the game features an auto-combat system, however if this system is enabled characters will only use basic attacks and will not cast spells or use soul breaks so it is only useful for quickly clearing out content the player is way over-leveled for and does not detract from the actual combat of that game. The game was shut down in all regions outside of Japan on September 29, 2022.
