Project Genom Overview
Project Genom is an MMO shooter from the Russian studio Neuronhaze. In Project Genom, players fight to ensure the survival of humankind in a non-targeting environment. A living universe changes as you play, allowing enemies to evolve and spark global events that require players to stand united in order to overcome them. It features an interactive storyline that reacts to player choices. A skill-based development system allows you to become more proficient in various skills through use. Show off abilities in fights against other players in the PvP arena. A wide variety of vehicles caps off the game’s feature set, allowing you to traverse the world in various ways. Grab yourself a personal vehicle to travel around the world of Avalon faster; you don’t have to worry about the vehicle being destroyed. Build a spaceship and explore the universe with a crew by your side.

Development History / Background:
Project Genom is developed by Russian studio Neuronhaze. The team boast a thousand years of work, but have not shared exactly how long it has been since they begun work on the game. It began as a “simulator of suicide jumpers leaping off cliffs in Torque 3D” before moving over to Unreal Engine 4, the engine it uses today. Project Genom was placed on Steam Greenlight on July 6, 2015 and was accepted onto Steam exactly a week later. An Early Access phase, supported by Founder’s Packs, began on October 29, 2015. The game launched as a Steam Early Access title on October 12, 2016.
