Daybreak Games has added the new game mode Skirmishes for their popular Battle Royale game H1Z1. If you've played Hearthstone, then skirmishes in H1Z1 are similar to tavern brawls where it's a spin on the classic game. In the skirmishes there will be rotating restrictions every week to make each game feel more unique. The first skirmish will be a pistols, bow, and fist brawl. So if you're interested in doing your best Legolas impression, make sure to hop into a skirmish or two this weekend.
There will also be a minor balance change to scoped weapons and Daybreak is working on addressing the issue where players loading in late are beginning at a huge disadvantage.
In an effort to make the learning curve a little less steep, Das Tal's team is making the game less punishing for new players. The biggest change will be that when a large group of enemy players try to kill you, the game will give you a 30 second grace period to prepare yourself to put up the best fight you possibly can. They are also weakening how hard mobs hit newer players.
The patch is live today and they also announced their plans to have tools that improve the speed at which they generate custom game worlds.

In anticipation of a heavy influx of SEA players when Tree Of Savior launches F2P, IMCGames is opening up an exclusive SEA server named Varena. Varena will hopefully draw in most of the new players so the other current SEA server Telsiai doesn't get overloaded. Varena will debut on launch day, which is May 10th.
They are also making it so not just anyone can create characters on the Telsiai server. The requirement to create characters on Telsiai will be to have purchased at least one of the DLC products. Speaking of DLC, your last chance to get the Founder DLC Pack will be May 9th, so grab it while you can.
With the newest installment of patch v240 Ark: Survival Evolved is adding in many fierce new dinosaurs to test out players. The one that really caught my attention was the Sabertooth Salmon in the sea which is essentially a giant fish that swarms you and sucks out your blood. On the bright side these fish are mighty tasty and offer great meat to anyone who can survive their onslaught.
On the less watery front, new acid-spitting centipedes are roaming around. I think just regular centipedes are scary enough, but giving them huge size and the ability to spit acid is just pushing it overboard. Up in the mountains you can test out your skill and teamwork with a new boss fight, a giant monkey named Megapithecus and his monkey pals.
If fighting dinosaurs isn't your style you can tame a friendly Lystrosaurus which will offer you experience buffs and if you're lucky do cute tricks.

Kabounce is a physics-based arena game where players bounce around as a pinball. Two teams compete to see who can collect the most points before time runs out.
For all you Azerothians looking for something new to do while waiting for the next expansion look no farther. Blizzard is hosting a Children's Week event that ends on May 9th. During this event you get to have an orphan follow you around as you show them what a true hero does day to day.
For most orphans it might be a boring week of watching players do dailies, but some lucky orphans may get to see some dungeons and raids. The orphans are tough as nails and aren't at risk of dying.
You can also fill out your pokedex during this event and pick up the exclusive combat pets Mr. Wiggles, Egbert, Peanut, Sleepy Willy, Curious Oracle Hatching, and everyones favorite, Curious Wolvar Pub.

Final Fantasy XI has been undergoing a lot of changes over the last few months. In an attempt to bring back old players, Square Enix is opening up the game to everyone from May 13th to May 23rd. There will be no strings attached, meaning you don't have to subscribe to play.
There will be a lot of extra incentives for players to hop in too. Just for playing during this anniversary event you get access to double experience and capacity points. Everyday during the event you also have a chance of winning a crab mount. There's a new patch coming out 3 days before the event starts, which will unlock even more content for players to enjoy.
Between all these perks and ease of entry I can see why a lot of players might be considering giving Final Fantasy Xl another shot.
Popular Hearthstone streamer Massan has been under a lot of scrutiny from the Hearthstone community in the past year. Many streamers believe he has been using viewbots to bring in viewers to his stream. A few detailed posts on the Hearthstone subreddit have come out over the last year providing evidence that there is a good chance that he at least has viewbots on his channel. Since Twitch.tv had no way of being certain that Massan was the individual purchasing viewbots they could not suspend his Twitch account.
In a recent development, Twitch has decided to suspend Massan's account indefinitely, which leads me to believe that they obtained some hard evidence that he was indeed the one viewbotting his stream. In response to this, Massan's sponsors Cloud 9 Gaming have decided to remove him from their official roster.
Many Hearthstone pros in the past have come out with stories of shady things Massan has tried to do. A couple examples are Amaz saying how Massan tried to sell him a spot in a tournament he was invited to, and a lot of pros were complaining how he would disconnect in tournament matches to get a remake if his starting hand wasn't good.
I've always believed in the saying that if there's smoke there's fire. In the case of Massan there is a copious amount of smoke so I have to believe that at least some of the allegations are true. If he used illegitimate methods to come this far in his Hearthstone career, then I feel no remorse for it to all end overnight.
