Allods Online Finally Hits Steam, But Only In Russian

Fans of Allods Online have been waiting with baited breath for the game's inevitable release on Steam since it was greenlit over half a year ago. Despite having been greenlit, the Greenlight page has continued to receive comments regularly. Allods may have gotten off on the wrong foot when it originally released, but the Steam release was rather highly anticipated.

Today, the game finally launched on Steam—in Russian only. English is not supported in the official Steam release yet and no one from Mail.ru has stepped in to offer an update on whether an English version will be reaching Steam. The reason for the lack of English support is likely due to the fact that My.com publishes the game internationally, whereas Mail.ru handles the Russian version themselves.

For the time being, the English version can still be downloaded from the official My.com website. Regardless, this is an odd turn of events, given that the Greenlight page advertised the game as having support for English, along with several other languages that have yet to reach the Steam version.
