Allods Online Publishes New Gates Of The Worlds Dev Vlog

Typically, video game development studios release update overviews prior to an update’s launch or on launch day itself to drum up hype. The Allods Online dev team, however, has decided to launch another Gates of the Worlds overview nearly a month after the update went live.

For those who’ve been following along or those who’ve actually jumped into the game, the video overview doesn’t come with any surprises or shocking revelations. For those who are just tuning in or haven’t stepped foot in Allods for a while, the Gates of the Worlds update added a whole host of new content to the 11-year-old MMORPG. These include the new Sunslanger and Eden zones, Eden-based PvP, new Astral Islands, and the return of the Melting Isle PvP instance with revamped free-for-all mechanics.

Instead of being a raid vs. raid encounter, Melting Isle is now a free-for-all encounter which will no longer allow players to group up. All player names are set to “Treasure Hunter” upon entering the instance to make it virtually impossible to form alliances. Additionally, combat racers and vehicles used in Melting Isle will have their speeds set to the same value so as not to give any player undue advantage.

All of those are covered in the Allods Team’s new Gates of the Worlds dev vlog below.
