Another Deformers Open Beta Event Is Being Held This Weekend

Didn't get enough of Ready At Dawn's upcoming competitive online brawler Deformers last weekend? Maybe you didn't get a chance to play at all due to the various issues that the game was having. Whatever the case, another Deformers Open Beta event began yesterday and it comes with a patch that solves a number of last week's issues. You can now change voice chat settings in-game. You can now rebind your controls. Lobby timers now "count down faster as more players ready up." Perhaps more importantly, however, users with usernames longer than 16 characters or that utilize special characters can now ready up, thus no longer holding up the other players in their matches. That being said, you may still find yourself "stuck at the form chooser screen"; Ready At Dawn is working on a fix, but the issue persists as of this writing.

The latest Deformers Open Beta can be downloaded here. If you forgot to uninstall the game before the end of the last Open Beta and it subsequently vanished from your library, it is back now and you can simply update the previous installation instead of reinstalling.

If you do get around to playing Deformers this weekend, I highly recommend the Form Ball mode. In my experience, it is the most manageable of the three modes in terms of overall chaos.
