Cloud Pirates Early Access Has Begun

The time has come to begin your piratical career in the clouds of Sarnaut, as Cloud Pirates is now in Early Access. Anyone with a Founder's Pack can now jump into the game and take part in battles between skyships without fear of their progress being wiped.

Early Access has begun with the release of the Gold Rush update. The update introduces the new "Convoy" mode in which teams of seven must protect "a convoy carrying precious ore through a treacherous labyrinth of floating rocks and other obstacles" while another team of seven attempts to destroy said convoy and take its contents for themselves. Convoy will only be available from 3 to 4 PM EST, at which time it will replace the standard battle mode.

Additionally, those in Brotherhoods can gather various resources when taking part in Convoy matches that can be used to construct a Brotherhood Fortress once that feature becomes available.

Those interested in taking part can grab a Founder's Pack here. Today is the last day to get the Admiral Pack, which is currently discounted to $39.98. Unfortunately, Early Access is not yet available on Steam, instead being available exclusively through the My.com Game Center, but it will be made available on Steam sometime in the near future.
