Conan Exiles Dives Into Age Of Sorcery’s New Seasonal Battle Pass And Cash Shop

Funcom has shared details on what Conan Exile players can expect in the new cash shop and battle pass that’s coming to the survival MMORPG in the upcoming Age of Sorcery update.
The Age of Sorcery update will switch up the survival MMORPG’s business model from a DLC-based monetization scheme to seasonal battle passes. Each battle pass season will run for around 13 weeks and will feature a 60-level reward track with additional rewards available to those who purchase the premium version. The rewards will either be consumables or cosmetics and will not include anything that enhances power. Possible rewards include armor and weapon skins, the new flasks, warpaint, pets, mounts, saddles, building pieces, emotes, and Crom Coins which can be used to purchase the next season’s battle pass.
Crom Coins can also be used to purchase cosmetic items from The Bazaar. Items will be available in bundles or individually which will rotate over time based on demand.
“We have seen the concerns about how long it takes to fully complete, and our goal has been to balance it to a satisfying pace,” said Funcom. “In practice, that means that if you play at least one hour on two separate occasions every week, you should be able to complete the entire Battle Pass before the next one comes along.”
“If you play a single two-hour session, you may still finish it, but will need to complete some of the more difficult challenges. This is an estimate but gives a good impression of the pace,” added the studio. “The progression is also linear, meaning that it will not get harder to level the further you get.”
All in all, it’s basically what you would expect from a typical battle pass in any multiplayer game or MMO. Funcom has condensed the information down into a very short video, which you’ll find below.
