Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt Red Apologizes For Poor Performance On Last-Gen Consoles And Offers Refunds

cyberpunk 2077 mohawk katana bannerCyberpunk 2077 might have sold over 8 million copies but not everyone is happy with it, especially those playing on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Numerous last-gen console players are complaining about the game’s poor performance not to mention the bugs, glitches, and crashes that abound in the game across all platforms.

CD Projekt Red apologized for not showing what the game will look like in last-gen consoles which limited last-gen console owners’ ability to make informed decisions about their purchases. “We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One,” tweeted CDPR executives.

The studio assured players that they’re working on fixing the issues and improve the overall experience. According to the devs, they’ve already released the first round of updates and will be rolling out another one within the week. Two large patches will also be released in January and February which should fix the “most prominent problems” on the PS4 and Xbox One.

CDPR is also offering a refund for those who aren’t satisfied with the game. “We would always like everyone who buys our games to be satisfied with their purchase. We would appreciate it if you would give us a chance, but if you are not pleased with the game on your console and don’t want to wait for updates, you can opt to refund your copy.”

Refunds for digital copies can be requested through the PSN or Xbox refund system while refunds for boxed copies need to be requested from the store where you bought the game.
