Elder Scrolls Online kicks off the Legacy of the Bretons year-long story arc on consoles as Update 33 and the Ascending Tide DLC officially goes live on Xbox and Playstation. Fortunately, launch day on consoles is going as smoothly as the team would have hoped with none of the issues that plagued the PC release earlier this month.

“The first time you log in after downloading the update, it will likely take longer than expected to get into the game due to backend account updates relating to Account Wide Achievements. Once this completes, all future load times should return to normal,” says ZeniMax.

The console launch, however, isn’t entirely free of issues as the team notes on the official forums:

“Your map will occasionally display completed POIs (including World Bosses, Dolmens and Delves) as incomplete. This will be fixed in the first incremental patch. Occasionally, you may briefly get changed to first person view while in third person view. We are working on a fix for this for a future incremental patch. There may be rare instances where you could get booted from the game with Error 326 and unable to log back into that character.”

The Ascending Tide DLC adds two new dungeons - Coral Aerie and Shipwright’s regret - that set the stage for the High Isle Chapter release in June, while Update 33 introduces account-wide achievements, tweaks to Undaunted progression, new loot, and more.
