Elite Dangerous: Horizons Now Available

Elite Dangerous: Horizons is now out of beta and into a launch state. Prospective players can now purchase the "season of expansions" for $59.99 and get started with planetary landings. In the future, they will have access to the Commander Creator, multicrew ships, looting and crafting, and more. The full season's details can be found here.

While the Steam store page currently says that the game is in Early Access, it has a different meaning than other Early Access titles. Being a "season of expansions," it will not be "complete" until the full season has been completed. Feedback from the community will also be incorporated into the existing releases as development continues.

Current Elite Dangerous owners can get Horizons for $44.99. A $15 loyalty discount is applied automatically both on Steam and through the Frontier Store. Keep in mind that Frontier Store purchases also grant Steam keys. Additionally, the Beta package is still available for those who want to test new updates before everyone else via the private test server.
