Elite Dangerous To Talk About Console Transfers And 2022 Roadmap In Next Week’s Dev Stream

Last month, Frontier Developments made the unfortunate announcement that they’ve stopped development on the console version of Elite Dangerous to focus exclusively on the PC version of the space sci-fi MMORPG.
Console users who wanted to continue playing the game would have to start over from scratch but were given a one-time chance to transfer their assets. This only applied to accumulated in-game credits and the credit costs of their ships and not DLCs.
The studio apparently didn’t think things through as they suspended all transfers a week later to review and update the transfer policies. No timeline was given as to when the transfers will resume but it looks like we’re finally getting an update in the next Frameshift Live dev stream which has been delayed to next week. The stream starts at 8:00am PDT on May 4th (Happy Star Wars Day!).
Frontier will also be revealing their new development roadmap for 2022 during the developer stream which should help assuage players concerns on the state of the game. You can check out the full announcement post on the Elite Dangerous official forums.
