The First Hands-On Look At ARK Park

So here we have it, the first look at ARK Park, the virtual reality themepark experience set in the ARK: Survival Evolved universe and developed by Snail Games in conjunction with Studio Wildcard. You can scroll to the bottom to take a peak. Just remember that VR headsets don't render in the high fidelity shown off in the video; consider it more a demo than representative of the actual experience.

What do you do in Ark Park? Well, you look at dinosaurs, pick them up, put them down, feed a Dodo, don't feed a Dodo. You look around you. That seems to be the beginning and end: ARK Park is touted as an immersive Jurassic Park stylized experience.

If you don't know, Studio Wildcard was acquired by Snail Games back in December, 2015, which helps explain why ARK is being pushed into a franchise that expands all genres and games in both the West and East.

ARK Park will release for Playstation VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift when it's ready—and it's already listed on Steam. Hopefully, ARK Park is more optimized upon release than its PC inspiration.

ARK: Survival Evolved is still in Early Access.
