Fractured Space's Last Progress Wipe Is Happening January 21st
On January 21, 2016, Fractured Space is introducing a new tech tree and starting ship lineup. Unfortunately, this will require them to wipe progress, but it won't affect everything. Platinum purchases and Ranks will be left intact. Boosters used "between now and the reset" will be given back to the player that used them. Reaching Ranks 5, 10, and 20 will unlock "special skins" colored Bronze, Silver, and Gold, respectively.
They're also promising that this is the final wipe. The game is inching ever closer towards release status and, while this is "an essential part of the development of the game," it will be the final time that your progress will be reset. They are calling the time between this wipe and release a "head start."
