Legends Of Runeterra Officially Launches On April 30, Valorant Closed Beta Delayed In Some Regions

legends of runeterra demacia luxRiot GamesLegends of Runeterra will officially be launching worldwide on PC and mobile devices at the end of the month. The League of Legends CCG spin-off has been live in open beta in selected regions since January 24th, but come April 30th, the rest of the world can finally join in on the fun, except for China and Vietnam who will have to wait a bit longer.

Patch 1.0 will feature a roster of more than 120 cards, a new region, and the official start of the Ranked Season. Open beta participants will get to keep their progress. They’ll also get a free Moonstruck Poro Guardian along with anyone who logs in to the game by 11:59pm PT on May 7th.

In other Riot news, Valorant closed beta testing is now live but has been delayed in some regions, including Australia, Russia and Turkey, because of the current coronavirus situation. Riot says, that while they’ve successfully transitioned to a work-from-home setup, their QA partners in other countries are having a difficult time testing the hardware and constructing new physical data centers because of travel and shipping restrictions.

“We rely heavily on our partners for testing Quality, hardware compatibility, performance - these are some of our biggest commitments to you,” said Executive Producer Anna Donlan on Kotaku. “With these folks also moving to a work-from-home status, our ability to test and fix some of these things has taken a bit of a hit. So yeah, this means we'll have to make some compromises.”
