Remember that big announcement that NCSoft planned to make about Lineage Eternal today? Turns out that Closed Beta sign-ups are now open from now until November 20th in preparation for the game's first Closed Beta, which will begin on November 30th and end on December 4th. Those who are accepted into the Closed Beta will be notified on November 24th. Unfortunately, this Closed Beta test will be exclusive to South Korea. Despite rumors, an international release has yet to be announced.

A full website opened alongside the Closed Beta announcement; a large amount of artwork and some information about the game can be found on it. According to the website, Lineage Eternal takes place 70 years after the events of Lineage. Players take on the role of heroes called "Eternals." They can collect and train an assortment of Eternals, which can then be assembled into teams of four, called an "Eternal Team," the members of which can be swapped at any time. Based on the footage that can be seen on the website, it seems that only one Eternal can be directly controlled at a time; the other three members of each player's Eternal Team will follow the player character around as AI companions. As players level their Eternal Teams, they will earn "Team Character Points" that can be spent on various customization options that allow them to express themselves in battle somehow.

As an added note, Eternals will be given various ways to earn experience. Players will be able to augment their skills by equipping them with various jewelry.

A decent variety of mission types will be available "everywhere so that there is no time to get bored"—according to the Google Translated version of the text. The main storyline is referred to as the "Albert Chronicle." "Local Missions" will allow players to reveal details about the surrounding area. Other available mission types include "Dungeon Missions," "Resistance Missions," and "Special Missions." According to the website, a decent number of missions will require players to work together in order to complete them. The availability of these missions will depend on the "field environment."

There is one additional type of mission, known as the "Eternal Chronology," which "allows you to see hidden stories of Eternals" in "a special scenario-type mission" setting. The Eternal Chronology promises grand cinematics and "dynamic 'dungeon play.'"

Three of the Lineage Eternal's dungeons have been revealed: the Screaming Quarry, the Seal Dungeon, and the Tower of Insolence.

The Screaming Quarry is a PvPvE dungeon that can hold upwards of 200 players. Players start on the bottom level of the dungeon and must work their way through its levels by hunting various bosses while avoiding death at the hands of other players. Those that make it to the top level will be pitted against the dungeon's final boss, "Behemoth." The PvPvE experience found the Screaming Quarry will not be available in any of the game's other dungeons.

The Seal Dungeon is referred to as "the most basic form of dungeon you can experience in traditional MMORPGs." It will feature an overarching narrative, but will otherwise be fairly standard.

The Tower of Insolence allows a team of four Eternals to take on an infinite amount random challenges. As they play through the dungeon, players will experience ever-changing terrain, random monster spawns, and even random missions, which is all made possible by Lineage Eternal's "DDS system"—it is not specified exactly what "DDS" stands for. Players can only gain access to the Tower of Insolence if they have the "Blessing of Death" and, even the, it will only be accessible for a limited amount of time.

Unfortunately, a proper trailer has not yet been released, so the only gameplay we can see is in the background of the About page—albeit some in-engine cutscenes can be found embedded below. It is noted, however, that an "official trailer video" will be released on November 14th.
