Move Games Might Be Bringing ASTA Online Back Through Steam

Despite being marketed as "the Korean World of Warcraft," ASTA Online has never done particularly well in any market. It failed in its home country of Korea, where it was online for nearly two years without updates before shutting down on August 23, 2015. It was later brought to the West by WEBZEN, spending a mere 7 months online before shutting down. Now, Move Games, the developer of Digimon Masters Online, is looking to bring ASTA back, having listed the game on Steam Greenlight.

You may remember that four of Move Games' titles have successfully made it through Greenlight. To date, two have been released on Steam: Digimon Masters Online, which can be found here, and Redemption, which can be found here. Two more, NOIR, which can be found here, and Power Rangers Online, which can be found here, have been greenlit, but have yet to be published on Steam.

It's unclear how Move Games came to be in possession of the rights to ASTA Online or why the company would want to resurrect a game that did so poorly in every market that it was released in. Nevertheless, it may very well be making a comeback.
