In a new Dev Blog published today, Riders of Icarus Lead Game Designer BK discussed some of the game's upcoming content. First off is an upcoming, level 35 solo dungeon called "the Lair of Ienos." Located in Parna's Coast, the Lair of Ienos tasks players with a daily quest to kill Ienos. Once he has been defeated, two random familiars—drawn from the game's pool of Elite and Heroic familiars—will spawn and you will have a chance to tame them. Each player gets only one set of random familiars per day.

The next major zone to be added will be the Tritael Rift. The Tritael Rift is a zone that is characterized by flying islands and a blue and pink sky. It will be home to the high level dungeon The Breach, a picture of which is embedded above. The dungeon will pit players against "Supreme Commander Izhora" and "Umax the Devourer." Those who successfully complete the dungeon will be awarded "the Supreme Commander weapon and armor sets."

The last bit of new content to be added will be the Gusting Isles, a 10-player dungeon that pits players against "the titan Trauna," which was "a weapon used by the God of Ruin."

It is also noted that the team is working on bug fixes that have arisen as a result of the fast pace at which content updates have been released and Explosive Shot's damage in PvP settings has been reduced.

Matt's Take:

Riders of Icarus launched with an extremely obvious dearth of content, but the developers have worked to fix that in a timely manner. There have been regular content updates up until now and there is even more content on the horizon. The question of when the content updates are going to slow down is continually looming, but for the time being, players have plenty to look forward to.
