If there’s one thing that you can count on when it comes to play-to-earn games, it’s that the value of their tokens is bound to crash sooner or later. This is largely due to the innate volatility of the cryptocurrency market and the problem of oversupply. Riders of Icarus, which became play-to-earn a few months ago, is now facing the same problem as the flying fantasy MMORPG’s Rania (RIA) token value dips to just around $0.10.

The RIA token is tied to Wemix Credits and was worth 1.2 Credits at launch. It’s now down to .43 Credits the value of which has also dropped from around $4.5 dollars around the time that Riders of Icarus made its play-to-earn transition to just $2.3 as of this writing.

Cryptocurrency traders, however, are still optimistic that the bearish market will recover within this year or the next so you might want to hold on to those tokens for the time being. Or, you could just sell them, cut your losses and stay away from play-to-earn games in the future. You do you.
