New World Introduces Season 2: Blood Of The Sands’ New Characters
We’re now roughly a week away from the start of a brand-new season in New World that promises a new reward track and a new narrative for players to immerse themselves in. Dubbed Blood of the Sands, Season 2 will revolve around the eponymous secret society of desert-dwellers with massive sandwurms thrown in for good measure.
“One of the most enduring mysteries of Brimstone Sands is the massive creature known as the Devourer,” revealed Amazon. “An ancient group calling themselves the Blood of the Sands, and their leader Malek, have emerged from the shadows to seek help in finding the eggs of these beasts.”
Blood of the Sands will introduce a curious bunch of new characters including the desert society’s leader, Malek, the elusive scoundrel, Sharif, and the enigmatic bard Rima. The team offers insight into each character’s backstory and motivations in this dev blog.
Season 2 is set to begin on July 6th featuring the new The Devourer Sandwurm Elite Trial, the Devourer Sandwurm Hearthstone, new PvP features, transmogrification tokens, and new rewards, including the Worm Dance emote.
