In the two months that the Unreal Engine 4-powered MMO shooter Project Genom has been in Founder's Pack supported alpha, it has seen a considerable amount of progress. All of that progress has culminated into the game's first major milestone being hit. As of today's update, players can now explore the seamless open world of Project Genom. The game world has been expanded a staggering 16 times in the past two months and now, for the first time, you can experience it without loading screens.

Progression based on modifications to internal organs is set to be introduced in the near future. Players will be able to unlock various active and passive skills by choosing to stay human, replace your organs with synthetic implants, or become a mutant. Skill points earned by installing implants and developing them can then be spent on the various skills made available based on your build.

Furthermore, diseases can be caught while traveling the world. These will affect players' organs and begin to lock the skills that that organ provides. If left untreated, the disease will affect more organs and eventually "destroy the whole organism."
