Over the past few months, we’ve seen several classic MMORPG’s rise from the grave and become available to play once more. Come next month, we’ll see another defunct MMORPG come back to life as Gravity Interactive’s Rose Online prepares to launch into early access on December 13th courtesy of a new publisher.

Rose Online first launched in July 2005 in Japan followed by a western release a few months later in December. The game was originally pay-to-play but later transitioned to free-to-play after the original developer, Triggersoft, sold it to various companies who went on to developer their own versions. It remained operational for nearly 15 years until it was shut down by Gravity Interactive in 2018 in Europe and early 2019 in North America.

The free-roaming MMORPG is now making a global come back and will still be free-to-play with promises of exclusively pay-to-win microtransactions and no pay-to-win items in the cash shop.

The Rose Online reboot will be available for download on the official site shortly before its early access launch for those interested in checking it out. Paid name reservations will also be available starting on November 22nd.
