The Culling Closed Alpha Sign-Ups Open
The recently announced brutal survival game The Culling has opened closed Alpha sign-ups. Testing will begin some time later this month, and the game will release as an Early Access title through Steam on March 8th.
“Launching a Closed Alpha will allow the community to have an active role in The Culling’s development.” said Michael McMain, Founder and CEO of Xaviant. “The feedback gathered from the test will ensure that we are able to deliver the reliable and balanced experienced our players deserve.”
The Culling will cost $14.99, and the game will be 10% off between March 8th and March 14th.
Clearly inspired by Battle Royale and The Hunger Games, The Culling pits players against each other on a tropical island, where they must craft weapons and traps, and murder every other player to be the last one standing.
Besides H1Z1: King of the Hill, The Culling is one of the few survival games focusing solely on stylized bloodbaths. I'm curious as to which one will survive in the long-term.
I have to admit the trailer below is a ridiculous game show montage with enough self-aware charm to raise my interest. Stay tuned for MMOs.com's first impressions to find out more about The Culling.
