Fractured Space is set to emerge from its Early Access cocoon on September 15, 2016 as a beautiful Beta space MOBA. The game has been in EA for over two years, and even changed from a buy-to-play title to free-to-play in May, 2016.

After two successful years in Early Access, where the game has evolved from a bare bones team match to a fully-fledged game with over 20 ships, customizable ship load outs to affect ship capabilities, selectable crew members that influence bonuses, a balanced free-to-play economy that seeks to provide great value to all players, and soon, even more features set to roll out at launch.

What Beta means for the game will be elaborated at Pax West in Seattle. Unfortunately I will not be privy to the details. But attendees will have the chance to play the game and chat it up with the developers. Or, you can check out Fractured Space in its current state by downloading it—for free—through Steam.

Sean's Take: I thoroughly enjoyed playing Fractured Space during its free weekend back when it was still a b2p title. It's one of the few MOBAs that don't give me the blood pressure of a Midwestern football team coach. Ten carriers firing missiles and lasers against the dark beauty of space is fun with friends; not a game to run into as a solo superstar. I'm curious to see how it will stack up against Dreadnought.
