Jandisoft's 2D isometric grimdark MMORPG Mad World has officially launched after a two-tiered early access period that began last weekend. The game, which is a cross-platform release in HTML5, comes with a flexible class system and a dark, monster-filled world to explore.

The game's official release is accompanied by an update that unlocks new story content with the introduction of Act 4. According to Jandisoft, the team has emphasized that there is a sense of hope to be found, and they promise that new story chapters will be added over time.

However, like any game launch, Mad World's release was not without its fair share of issues, a list of which can be found on the game's official forums. Players have reported not recieving their confirmation emails, certain boss monsters that don't drop expected loot, as well as equipment stats not displaying correctly. Additionally, some players have reported that handing over an item to an NPC during a quest can cause the item to disappear from the quick slot.

In a press release about the launch, Jandisoft did mention that there would be events, but the long and extended maintenance has delayed those announcements. The team is continuing to work on stabilizing the game and resolving any issues players encounter.

Despite the launch issues, Jandisoft has assured players that they are working hard to stabilize and improve the game. They also warned that there could be delays or disconnection issues when moving between maps and players are advised to stay tuned for official updates.
