Dragons are taking center stage in Neverwinter as the Dragonslayer module officially goes live on both PC and consoles today. Yes, that’s right. For the first time ever both PC and console versions of the classic MMORPG will get access to an expansion at the same time. The expansion kicks off a new dragon-centric narrative that will task players with hunting down dragons through the new Dragon Hunt queued encounters.

“Dragon hunts are a new kind of queue where you can take on young dragons by yourself, adult dragons in a party of three, or the most powerful ancient dragons in a full party of five. As you progress in the Dragon Hunt questline you will unlock access to ancient dragon hunts, and a variety of rewards to be purchased with parts harvested from defeated dragons.”

The other highlights of the Dragonslayer module include the updated Tyranny of Dragons campaign which has now been streamlined as a replayable Epic Adventure. The new Adventure no longer requires rare drops for boons and is now open to players with a minimum Item Level of 35,000. The Temple of Tiamat Trial has also been reworked with new mechanics and rewards along with updates to end-of-queue rewards, and more transparent lockboxes.
