All Versions Of PangYa Are Now Dead As Initree Games Shuts Down Golf MMO In Thailand

NCSoft’s PangYa is now officially dead as the last running version in Thailand closes its doors after Initree Games kept it alive in the region for 19 years. The adorable golfing MMO first launched in South Korea in 2024, then in North America in 2005 as Albatross18, and in Japan and Thailand that same year. The NA and KR versions sunsetted in 2016 with the JP version following suit in 2017.

For the dedicated fans out there, there’s a rogue server called PangYa Reborn which caters to a small but loyal playerbase and has been running for roughly a year now. In terms of content, it appears to be on par with the global versions before they were shut down and is currently on Season 8.
