Shroud of the Avatar Launching Release 49 on December 14th, 2017

Shroud of the Avatar is set to launch its Release 49 update tomorrow on December 14th, 2017. The highlights of the update include tweaks to the game to improve framerates, UI tweaks, new side quests, and changes to NPC behavior. A full list of changes can be found over on the game's Release 49 Patchnotes page. This is a BIG update for the game and I'm sure the game's hardcore fans are mega excited.

Shroud of the Avatar is a buy to play MMORPG developed and published by Portalrium, a game studio founded by Richard Gariott, the legendary MMO developer behind Ultima Online. While the game is buy to play, it does hold regular free weekends. While the game has struggled to maintain a playerbase, it does have a core niche audience. The game averages around 136 players online at any given time according to Steamcharts.

  • I feel like Shroud of the Avatar is following in the footsteps of SkySaga: Infinite Alphas. Games shouldn't have 49 releases. There should be one release: Release 1.0.
