Shroud Of The Avatar Raised $200,000 During Its Telethon, For A Total Of $10 Million

Portalarium announced today that it managed to raise $200,000 during its Summer Telethon of the Avatar, Part 2, for a total of $10 million in funding. With this funding, Shroud of the Avatar further secures its title as second most crowdfunded video game.
As a result of the money earned, various rewards have been unlocked. All players who spent a minimum of $5 at the beginning of the telethon have earned the /aeroplane and /camera emotes, a Tin Type Camera, ? and ! hats, the Aeronaut Outfit, Accordion Musical Instrument, a Mini Automaton Pet, a Baby Clockwork Dragon Pet, Clockwork Armor that includes a helmet with a built-in radio, Flaming Bagpipes, a Leather and Metal Kilt, a Weather Changing Clockwork Umbrella, and an as-yet unannounced reward.

It seems like fans of the game got quite a lot of in-game swag from the Summer Telethon of the Avatar, Part 2—those who only spent $5 got an especially good deal. Hitting the $10 million in funding mark is also quite impressive and it goes to show that even games facing harsh criticism can be continuously successful.
