Catnip Games is still hard at work on trying to restore what they can of the items, gold, and progress lost during last week’s month-long rollback in Shroud of the Avatar. The good news is that the developers are now in the “home stretch” of their recovery efforts.

The dev team reports that they’ve already applied fixes for overdue taxes and have extended the grace period for expired houses until November 18th. The timer will then be reset to its default setting which will mark the completion of that phase of recovery. The studio will also be holding a Live Dev event in Hometown on October 22nd to restore missing items that are no longer available in the cash shop.

As for lost gold, the studio admits that they won’t be able to restore every last piece of gold that was lost during the rollback. “Some people might not see what they expect but this is the best we can do from the data we have,” Catnip said.

Some players, however, are complaining on Discord about the surprisingly low amount of gold that was returned to them. One of those players reported losing roughly 1.6 million of in-game gold and expressed concerns about how the amount was calculated.
