After over 14 years in Ubisoft, Skull and Bones Associate Game Director Antoine Henry has left the company to pursue other opportunities. Henry first joined the studio’s headquarters in Paris, France in 2007 before transferring to the Singapore office in 2014 as Lead Game Designer for the upcoming pirate-themed MMO. He was promoted to Associate Game Director in 2017 and has been working in that capacity ever since.

“Goodbye Ubisoft! After nearly 15 years, today was my last day,” he tweeted. “I'm thankful for the people I've met and what they brought me professionally and personally. Hopefully I was able to give back a little bit. On to new exciting adventures very soon!”

During his time in Ubisoft, Henry has worked on several iconic titles, including Just Dance 4, the Raving Rabbids Series for Wii, Watch Dogs, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

As for Skull and Bones, the game is still in development four years after it was first announced at E3 2017. It was initially scheduled to launch in 2018 but has seen numerous delays ever since. The game is now slated for release sometime during the company’s next fiscal year which begins in April 2022.

Aside from delays to Skull and Bones, the Singapore office is also being investigated by a local government agency for alleged pay disparities among different races, sexual harassment, bullying, and toxic executives. The studio is also being criticized for deleting an account with paid games and for selling Rainbow Six Siege NFTs through their Ubisoft Quartz platform.
